Dragon Ball Super Episode 6 Plot Summary
On the last episode of Dragon Ball Super, Beerus and Whis had just departed King Kai’s Planet for Earth to question Vegeta about the existence of a Super Saiyan God. As Dragon Ball Super Episode 6 begins, we see King Kai pleading with Goku not to go to Earth in pursuit of Beerus and Whis. Goku listens to King Kai and decides to wait it out… for now.
Back on Earth Bulma’s birthday party continues. Vegeta, who has been warned by King Kai of Beerus’ arrival, anxiously waits and realizes that he is frightened. Just then, Beerus and Whis appear and call Vegeta’s name and sneak up behind him.
Just then, Vegeta remembers who Beerus is. In a flashback, we see Beerus with his foot against the back of Vegeta’s father’s head. Vegeta watches from a distance as his father is chastised by Beerus. Even more shocking is the reason – Beerus ordered King Vegeta to bring him the most comfortable pillow in all the universe, and believes that King Vegeta kept the pillow for himself. In the flashback, a young Prince Vegeta can take no more, and rushes out to protect his father. Beerus subdues young Prince Vegeta with just a glance.
Back in the present, Vegeta is lying on the ground in shock. Beerus expresses disappointment with what Vegeta has grown up into, saying he thought there was a chance they would eventually be able to hang out together. Bulma appears on the deck of the cruise ship, and Whis and Beerus introduce themselves. Vegeta, terrified, tells Bulma to get away. Bulma ignores him and approaches Beerus to shake his hand, and welcomes him and Whis to join her birthday celebration. Beerus obliges, saying that he has been attracted to the delicious scent of the festivities since he arrived in the area.
As Beerus and Whis join the party, Vegeta watches from the bushes in terror. He’s extremely concerned that one of the guests will irritate Beerus – in particular, he looks at Majin Buu. Just then, Yamcha introduces himself to Beerus and informs him that he’s the best martial artist at the party. Then, insisting that they put ranks and formalities aside, gives Beerus a firm smack on the back. Beerus winces in irritation, and Vegeta gasps in horror. With perfect timing, Krillin appears with a platter of hors d’oeuvres which instantly grabs the attention of Beerus. Unfortunately, the relief is short-lived as Krillin explains that one of the items on the platter is stuffed full of wasabi. It’s supposed to be a Russian Roulette type game, and with Beerus present that is true beyond the comprehension of anyone at the party except for Vegeta. Vegeta is concerned that should Beerus get the wasabi ball, it will certainly result in the destruction of Earth.
Beerus takes the first pick from the platter, and everyone cheers him on. Vegeta is sweating profusely with concern that Beerus is about to experience a mouthful of wasabi. Beerus has a strange reaction to the food, and Vegeta assumes the worst. After some suspense, Beerus exclaims that the food is absolutely delicious. He’s in disbelief at how tasty Earth food is. The mood lightens up, and everyone else begins partaking in the food. Krillin gets the wasabi ball.
Back on the deck of the ship, the Pilaf gang are contemplating how great it feels to be full, and whether the pursuit of world domination is really even worth it anymore.
We then see Beerus and Whis discussing if any of the Saiyans besides Vegeta could be the Super Saiyan God. They see Trunks and Goten, and discount them since they’re only half-Saiyans. They also are completely unimpressed by Gohan given his current scholarly appearance and lifestyle. Vegeta appears with more food for Beerus and Whis. While eating the food, Beerus asks Vegeta about his relationship with Goku. Trunks and Goten appear, and just as Beerus is about to take a bite of his meal, they squirt him with a water gun. Beerus becomes enraged and begins to radiate purple God ki.
Vegeta takes off into the ocean, distracting Beerus who suddenly stops going ballistic to investigate what Vegeta is doing. Vegeta bursts from the ocean with a massive octopus which he launches into the air and blows up with an energy blast. Then he usurps control of the sushi station to quickly prepare some octopus to alleviate Beerus’ rage. It works, and Beerus is calm again.
Beerus and Whis approach Majin Buu to ask if he can share one of his puddings. Majin Buu yanks back the numerous puddings he has been hoarding, and tells them he doesn’t want to share. Whis politely explains that they have come from far away, and would really like to try the pudding. Buu shows no mercy, and starts rapidly licking all of the puddings so nobody else can have them. Buu says that because he is so strong, he needs to eat a lot. Beerus takes this as a challenge. Mr. Satan tries to intervene and is thrown back by the fingertips of Beerus and Buu.
Beerus and Buu are now standing square with one another, ready to battle. Buu begins rapidly jabbing Beerus in the face. After a minute, Beerus stops Buu’s assault with just one hand. To Buu’s surprise, Beerus grips his fist and begins spinning him around in the air. Majin Buu is a blur, that is until Beerus throws him into the sky, then appears above him in an instant and grabs him by the taffy-like appendage on his head. Beerus says he gives zero tolerance to those who do not pay him respect, he then spins Buu again and throws him into the ocean, then launches an energy blast at him. The energy blast incinerates Buu.
Dragon Ball Super episode 6 ends with Vegeta looking on in horror, and making the realization that it’s all over, and the Earth will soon be destroyed.
