Dragon Ball Super Episode 3 Plot Summary

In the last Episode of Dragon Ball Super, we were left with Beerus and Whis returning to their castle to eat dinner and try to remember who the mysterious figure was in Beerus’ dream. Dragon Ball Super Episode 3 begins with Whis and Beerus traveling through space at hyper speed. Beerus tells Whis to use his powers to find the Super Saiyan God that appeared in his dream, but Whis tells Beerus that he will need to narrow down the search first.

We then see Old Kai voices his concern with Beerus’ rampage to Kibito Kai. Kibito Kai expresses that he has never seen Old Kai so scared. Old Kai tells Kibito Kai of the relationship Beerus has with Kais of Creation, explaining that Beerus is a God of Destruction who destroys on a whim. Old Kai warns Kibito Kai that should Beerus pay them a visit, the only way to prevent destruction is to eliminate any chance of him being irritated.

Old Kai and Kibito Kai, in particular, express concern of Beerus being challenged to a fight – in particular, challenged to a fight by Goku. Just then, King Kai telepathically communicates with them to assure his agreement and that he won’t tell Goku about Beerus. Unfortunately, Goku was eavesdropping and heard everything and demands to know what King Kai is hiding from him. King Kai denies he even said Goku’s name.

Back in their castle, Beerus and Whis are enjoying dinner. Beerus summons a clairvoyant seer fish to give him insight on the identity figure that appeared in his dream. It is also revealed that the seer fish predicted 39 years earlier that Beerus would encounter a formidable opponent. Seer fish cannot remember the person’s name, but does remember his title: Super Saiyan God. Whis informs Beerus that a person with the name “Super Saiyan God” does not exist, but that since most of the Saiyans were eliminated during the destruction of Planet Vegeta, it should drastically narrow down the search.

In the next scene, Beerus is enjoying a hot springs bath. While Beerus is relaxing, Whis is performing research to locate the last remaining Saiyans. In the orb on his staff, Whis shows Beerus a visual of Earth, informing him that this is where the remaining Saiyans live. He also tells him that Frieza was eliminated by Goku, and that this particular Saiyan is currently on King Kai’s planet. This piques Beerus’ interest. Whis also shows Beerus footage of Goku’s battle with Frieza. Now Beerus is extremely interested, and instructs Whis to “prepare the lunch boxes” for their 26 minute and 44 second journey to the North Kai’s Planet.

Back on Earth, we see some familiar Z Fighters gathering in the city for Bulma’s birthday party. Android 18, Krillin, Yamcha, Puar, Chioatzu, and Tien are among them. Shortly after, Gohan, Videl, Goten show up. We also see Roshi
