Dragon Ball Super Episode 25 Summary
The last episode of Dragon Ball Super ended with Goku revealing his new form, Super Saiyan Blue, and demanding that Frieza reveal his new powers, as well.
Dragon Ball Super episode 25 begins with Frieza acknowledging and complimenting that Goku has undertaken quite a bit of training since their last encounter. Goku flaunts that it was some pretty extreme training, to say the least. “Spoken like a true battle-crazy Saiyan”, Frieza says.
Gokou deduces that if Frieza is still smiling after seeing his Super Saiyan Blue transformation, Frieza must have also gained some extreme new levels of power. Frieza commands Frieza once again to reveal his powers. Frieza doesn’t cooperate, and tries attacking Goku in his current form. Goku easily overpowers Frieza, grabbing his fist and clenching it. Frieza is so sufficiently overpowered that he cannot even move.
Frieza jumps back, and tells Goku he was simply testing Goku’s strength to see whether or not he was worthy of seeing Frieza’s new level of power. Frieza admits Goku was not bluffing, and agrees to finally reveal the results of his training.
Frieza readies himself, and fiery orange energy begins to radiate from his body. He begins to release tremendous energy, causing mountains in the surrounding area to crack in half. A huge fireball envelopes Frieza’s body as his power continues to soar. A blindingly brilliant golden light envelopes everything in sight, and Frieza’s body transforms into his new form. Frieza has become Golden Frieza.
Back on the ground, everyone is astounded by the immeasurable nature of Frieza’s Golden Form. Goku also admits that he is surprised.
Frieza explains that he chose gold for the simple reason that it gets the point across.
Frieza tells Goku he believes he is stronger, but Goku disagrees and says he thinks they are closely matched. Frieza warns Goku that from here on out, he cannot predict what will happen. He believes he could kill Goku in an instant, even unintentionally.
Goku and Frieza ready themselves for battle by assuming their respective fighting stances. Moments later, they attack one another. Frieza and Goku exchange blows and, indeed, appear to be fairly evenly matched. Goku and Frieza both appear to be surprised by this, given the immeasurable nature of their recently acquired powers. Then, Goku fires off a Kamehaha, and Golden Frieza retaliates with a massive death beam. Their beams clash and become engaged in a struggle.
Then, we hear a familiar voice calling out to Bulma. It’s Whis. Whis informs Bulma that he and Whis are 4 minutes and 13 seconds from Earth.
Suddenly, Whis comes to a screeching halt in some remote area of space, sensing the presence of two other powerful beings. Indeed, Whis’ feeling was correct, and we see Champa and Vados once again. We find out that Champa is actually Beerus’ God of Destruction counterpart for Universe 6. Beerus asks what the Universe 6 God of Destruction is doing in Universe 7. Champa claims they were just passing through, and calls Beerus fussy. Beerus suspects Champa is in Universe 7 to steal all of the delicious food. Champa retorts by telling Beerus Universe 6 has superior food.
Champa calls Beerus a toothpick, and Beerus calls Champa a fatso. Then they part ways. Whis and Beerus resume their journey to Earth.
In the next scene, it is revealed that Champa and Vados were actually in Universe 7 collecting something.
Back on Earth, Goku and Frieza are still engaging in a beam struggle. Then, the beams explode in mid-air, and Goku and Frieza begin clashing in hand-to-hand combat.
A few seconds later, Whis and Beerus appear. Whis inquires where the Strawberry Parfait is. Bulma gives them the Strawberry Parfait, and Whis and Beerus are absolutely ecstatic over how good it tastes.
Whis and Beerus observe the fight between Goku and Frieza, and Beerus acknowledges it appears Frieza has become much stronger.
Goku is sent flying into the ground. When the cloud of debris clears, it seems Goku is actually quite tired. He also admits he seems to be losing the fight with Frieza. Frieza tells Goku that once their battle is over, and he has killed Goku, he will send Vegeta and the rest of his friends straight to hell behind him. Frieza says this as he scans the spectators in the background, and then he spots something extremely alarming: Beerus & Whis enjoying the Strawberry Parfait.
Frieza is very alarmed, and asks with fear in his voice, asks Beerus if his intention is to interrupt his revenge. Beerus says he couldn’t care less, and tells Frieza to do as he pleases. Bulma is shocked that Beerus doesn’t seem inclined to help them, but Beerus assures her that he will at least protect Earth because of the promise of tasty food.
Having received an assurance of non-interference from Beerus, Dragon Ball Super episode 25 concludes with Frieza and Goku resuming their fight.
