Dragon Ball Super Episode 13 Plot Summary
On the last episode of Dragon Ball Super, Goku and Beerus had just created a massive explosion of energy that engulfed the entire universe in blinding white light.
Dragon Ball Super Episode 13 begins with Beerus and Goku facing off following the explosion of produced by the collision of their energy blasts. When the smoke clears, we see that what has actually happened is a super dense, smaller orb of energy has been produced. Goku and Beerus continue to try to overwhelm one another.
Old Kai and Kibito Kai continue to observe from their planet. Old Kai is aware that super dense energy has been created as a result of the clash. He explains that if the dense energy disperses, it too has the potential to destroy everything in existence.
Beerus and Goku continue to battle for control of the super dense energy orb.
Back on the cruise ship, Whis laments that he and Beerus did not expect the Super Saiyan God to be so powerful. He explains to Mr. Satan that Beerus thought perhaps the Earth would be destroyed, and perhaps a few nearby planets. Under the current circumstances, Whis echoes the sentiment of Old Kai and believes everything will be wiped out. Mr. Satan urges Whis to protect them with his magic, but Whis admits that not even he can contain the power being produced by Goku and Beerus. Mr. Satan tries to coerce Whis to do something with a makeshift gift card that will allow Whis to obtain unlimited food. Whis finds the offer tempting but still cannot accept.
Back in the outer atmosphere, Beerus and Goku finally detonate the super dense energy orb. White light engulfs the entire earth as Mr. Satan, Videl, and Gohan brace for their deaths. However, suddenly the skies are blue and full of clouds. Mr. Satan ponders if it was a miracle that saved them. Then he takes it a step further and wonders if it was a miracle created by his own love, and refers to himself as Ultimate Satan. Whis seems to understand what is happening.
Back in the outer atmosphere, Beerus explains to Goku that he has nullified all of the energy. To Goku’s chagrin, Beerus also tells him he still wasn’t using one hundred percent of his power. His reasoning is that going all out against a Saiyan would be unsightly. However, Beerus has changed his mind – he really wants to win the fight, and is willing to go all out to prove he is a superior being to Goku.
Now both Beerus and Goku are fighting at one hundred percent. They seem to be evenly powered, and now are trading evenly blow for blow. Suddenly, without warning, Goku is no longer in his Super Saiyan God form, and regresses to a regular Super Saiyan. Back on Earth, his family can sense his energy, and infer he is no longer a Super Saiyan God. For the most part, Goku is no longer any match for Beerus. However, there are a couple of rogue punches that are able to connect with Beerus, suggesting there is more going on than meets the eye.
Beerus explains that Goku’s Super Saiyan God form has not disappeared due to a time limit. Rather, the Super Saiyan God energy has infused with Goku’s being.
Dragon Ball Super Episode 13 concludes with Beerus and Goku breaking out in laughter together, and then continuing their Battle of the Gods.
