Dragon Ball Super Episode 12 Plot Summary
On the last episode of Dragon Ball Super, Beerus and Goku were engaged in a fierce battle. Goku had just tapped into even more of his Super Saiyan God energy, and Beerus decided to demonstrate more of his power in return.
Dragon Ball Super Episode 12 begins with Beerus and Goku hovering high above the Earth sizing each other up. Beerus teleports behind Goku and tries to deliver a chop to his neck. However, Goku anticipates the sneaky chop and is able to grab Beerus’ hand. Goku warns Beerus that the same trick will not work a second time. Beerus agrees not to use any more cheap tricks.
Beerus and Goku power up again. Beerus is now radiating purple god ki, indicating the he is indeed beginning to tap into a significant portion of his god powers. The two charge each other and strike a massive blow in which their fists clash. A massive amount of energy is released from the impact of their fists, and they are both thrown backwards. The power from the clash is seen affecting the entire Earth. Even more impressive, the energy waves are radiating all the way to the Kai planet where Kibito Kai and Old Kai live. Old Kai’s fears of the Universe’s destruction intensify. Kibito Kai and Old Kai plead with Goku and Beerus to stop fighting, but they just ignore Old Kai’s pleas.
Goku and Beerus ratchet up the intensity even further, their energy soaring to even higher levels. They charge one another again, and yet again their fists clash, igniting another massive release of energy that radiates throughout the entire universe. Asteroids can be seen vaporizing as a result. People on the surface of the Earth are swept from their feet and to the ground.
Goku and Beerus continue to exchange words. Beerus tells Goku that this battle is just like the one he saw in his dream, and that Goku has done well by managing to come this far. Goku says he will thank Beerus for bringing him to this level by putting all of his energy into his next series of attacks.
Both Beerus and Goku’s god kis begin to manifest as massive dragons that resemble Shenron. The two dragons stare one another down, then perform a loop and enter into the bodies of Beerus and Goku, taking their powers to unprecedented levels. They rush at each other again, and now for a third time their fists impact, and a massive pillar of light streaks through the universe. Gok strikes Beerus and knocks him back. Old Kai expresses amazement that Goku just managed to completely cancel out Beerus’ attacks by deliver attacks at the exact same force and angle as Beerus.
Goku confirms this to Beerus. Beerus seems unsettled and perplexed that Goku was trying out new techniques in the middle of their battle together.
Beerus then backs up and forms another energy orb that resembles an atom. He begins rotating above his head, and tells Goku not to underestimate the power of a god. Goku is unfazed – he readies a Kamehameha, and fires it at Beerus. Even more destructive energy is released into the Universe, and we see a far off planet vaporized. Old Kai and Kibito Kai are convinced this is as much as the universe can handle.
Back in the battle, Goku is trying to overwhelm Beerus’ energy blast with the Kamehameha. It’s no use – Beerus’ energy blast approaches closer and closer to Goku until it finally consumes his Kamehameha altogether. At the very last moment, Goku digs even deeper and is able to begin pushing the energy back. Now Goku and Beerus are in a complete deadlock, both putting an incredible amount of energy into their efforts until the energy bursts.
Dragon Ball Super Episode 12 concludes with the grand explosion of power engulfing the entire universe.
